Why Heart Story?
“Heart Story” captures three strands:
- My own heart story: the diverse experiences and training I bring as a consultant, facilitator, professor, pastor, spiritual director, nonprofit administrator, teaching artist, mediator, and activist, that have led me to develop the heart-centered, values-led, approach I bring to all my work.
- Organizational heart stories: the work of helping organizations and institutions to articulate their values and commitments, and to align those commitments with their systems and practices.
- Individual heart stories: helping individuals explore their own deepest commitments, and to integrate those commitments with their work, activism, and expression in the world.

“Students remarked upon Kerr’s ability to establish a brave space in which they felt empowered to discuss challenging, often uncomfortable topics…. I witnessed in our students a depth of analysis and willingness to move beyond their comfort zone in Kerr’s sessions, both of which were a result of his brilliance as a facilitator.”
